I might be going a bit deep here but I think "life" is one big learning curve. Its no co-incidence that we are in this mess. It is what it is, and now we must deal with it. There is no-one to blame when a person accidently slips off the edge of a cliff while rock climbing - to spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair. This is just "life".

Another guy today has high copper via a blood test. Im trying to get all the gents there to get a serum copper and for the keen ones, a hair mineral analysis.

One of my docs told me that high iscolated high bilirubin is a sign of copper toxicity.

I have it, at least one other guy has it. Plus there is another guy who was diagnosed with copper toxicity who has made a full recover by detoxifying copper and getting his zinc back up. And now today we have a random copper blood test, and he is high. So thats 4 of us with what looks like copper toxicity.

Interesting!

Jay,

CFS can cause copper toxicity in your body. I'm not discounting copper toxicity, but I don't think that is the only thing causing our problems..We need to get to the ROOT of the problem.

Check out this link

A Simplified Treatment Approach Based on the Glutathione Depletion-Methylation Cycle Block Pathogenesis Hypothesis for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

http://aboutmecfs.org/Trt/TrtMethylTheory.aspx

To briefly describe what is said on that link, I'm curious to see if sAME and Gluthiathone could improve my symptoms along with Vitamin B, C, D, E and fish oil that I'm already taking. I'm taking all of these supplements with exception to sAME & Gluthiathone. I'm still having issues as we speak.

I think we should focus on DNA methylation and also DNA Hyper-Methylation(which could of silenced our AR). I think we must exhaust this theory, because it could be the ROOT CAUSE, but we don't know until doctors will listen to us and see if procainimide will help us out. If it helps great, if it doesnt, then we can exhaust it.

Anyways, back to what I was doing.....which is work work work, and trying to find a solution for this...

PS3 I agree, I dont think there is anyone with only one thing going on. Ive heard plenty of docs who treat this say its usually a whole host of problems that need to be nutted out.

Copper toxicity is a big problem however. It literally clogs up your liver - which IMO is the most important organ where metabolism is concerned. The same organ where hormones must be broken down and utelised. A poor liver means poor health.

One fellow on the propeciahelp website swears black and blue that he recovered by sorting out his copper toxicity. Anyone with copper toxicity symptoms would be mad to not get this sorted out.

You never know, there could be a pattern emerging as more guys get tested for it. There might not be.....but we've gotta keep trying things to get the bottom of this, even if its only relevent to a handfull of guys.

Yes I agree. I've been taking bile aids from an enzyme complex and Milk Thistle with Dandelion root along with a bunch of vitamins. My urine is very clear now and urinary flow is better..BUT IM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH LIBIDO AND ERECTIONS.

Need to dig further....in the meantime I will stick to my regimen

Results: 5α-Reduced steroids, e.g., 5α-dihydrotestosterone, androsterone, epiandrosterone, 5α-androstene-3α,17β-diol, allopregnanolone, isopregnaolone, and some 5-ene steroids, such as dehydroepiandrosterone and pregnenolone, decreased gradually during treatment.

Conclusions: The decrease of 5α-reduced steroids, especially of allopregnanediol, dihydrotestosterone, and pregnenolone, is probably one of the factors responsible for the increased occurrence of depression in men treated with finasteride, even at low doses.
